MEET AMOS ONYANGO- CEO: LAWYK AFRIK Foundation, Transforming lives, one person at a time!

Amos Onyango is a trained teacher by profession, passionate about both Fashion and Literature. He is pursuing a Master of Arts in Ethics and Organizational Leadership at Tangaza University College in Nairobi, Kenya. Additionally, he is furthering his expertise in the field of Cybersecurity through a program offered by Apprentice Job Work Africa (AJW Africa), in collaboration with the National Transformation Initiative in Barbados (NTI). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (English and Literature) from Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. Amos is the Founder of Lawy Afrik Foundation (LAF) which aims to solve human security and development issues through easy and locally available solutions and a Co-founder of Afrostitch Foundation, a charitable organization that aims to foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and community engagement within the fashion industry. He is also the Founder of Lawy Afrik Technology Limited (Lawy Afrik) an empowering and bold African fashion label with a simple aim; to renew a sense of pride in our African culture by creating a channel for all people to find confidence in expressing who they are. Amos is also Unashamedly Ethical Ambassador in Kenya (UE) an Organisation whose main vision is to transform the society by taking a stand for Ethics, values and clean living and African Hidden Voices Ambassador (AHV) in Kenya whose main vision is to explore and understand the historical contributions and legacies of Imboni, Kings, and Spiritual leaders, aiming to revive and uphold the authenticity of their gifts, both from the past and in the present, across Africa. He is the African Co-ordinator for Africa Online School whose headquarters is in the UK. He is also the Goodwill Ambassador of Voice Achievers, Youth President for Destination Imagination in Africa (DI in Africa) a global educational Non-profit Organisation dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators, leaders and creative problem solvers. a Board Member of 3D Africa Youth Organisation. , a member and patron of the Afrimerge Advisory Council. He was the evaluator of Utamaduni Heritage Hub Projects 2024. He was the Co-ordinator of Germany Pan African Expo Festival 2024 (GPAEF) and the Chairperson of African Women Summit 2024 Entertainment and Cultural Committee (AWS) Amos is passionate about the African dream.

He is a proponent of a self-sustaining Africa through locally made products and services, ideas and human resources. Amos is a cross cultural communication professional trained at Heinrich Foundation with a keen interest and bias towards Purposeful Communications. He also served as an intern at The Consulting House where he participated in a project on Youth Resilience as funded by IDRC- Canada. Amos Onyango has authored three (3) books and edited many. Some of his books are; an abridged personal memoir, Twists and Turns; A Story of Survival, Cyberbullying; A Crime Against Humanity and Trapped in Waithood; The Predicament of disempowered and disengaged African Youth.

The books have opened his life and experiences to the wider African readership space who have appreciated it well so far. As a young pan-Africanist and social entreprenur, he steers a wide-ranging team of young people inclined towards the Pan Africanism agenda. Amos has won many Africa Awards with the most recent being Pioneer of African Indigenenous Spirutuality in Cape Town, South Africa, African Image Maker Award by Voice Achivers Awards 2023 in Almere, The Netherlands, Social Entreprenur of the year at the Sustainable Development Excellence Awards 2023 in Accra Ghana, Lion’s Den Competition for young African Entrepreneurs at the Economic Summit 2022 in Cape Town, South Africa and Africa Youth Icon Award 2021 He also leads key human interest initiatives in ten (10) African countries and Four (4) in diaspora. Amos Onyango is the immediate former Managing Director of Kucula Foundation, Project Manager of the PLO Lumumba Foundation and Executive Assistant to Prof. PLO-Lumumba.
