After organizing the 3rd editions of the Project Afrika festival Reutlingen, which created so much impact in the region, was not possible to discontinue our engagement. The 4th edition was organized in Metzingen, a county in Reutlingen with approximately 22.000 inhabitants. The city is known for its famout Outlet made up of world top brands, attracting visitors from all over the world. Afrika Festival Metzingen, offered an opportunity to experience the cultural richness and joy of life of the African continent.
The reason for hosting the 4th project to Metzingen city was due to lack of the previous venue in Reutlingen, the city used the venue for the construction of Reutlingens city hall, , the 4th Reutlingen Afrika Festival was hosted Metzingen at the Festplatz Bongertwasen.
The venue was just for purposes of searching for an appropriate location and venue for the project. As compared to Reutlingen, Metzingen was a suitable match compared to Reutlingen where visitors were easy to late the project.
The 3 day program remained as attractive as ever, featuring music groups, a multicultural bazaar, delicious food, creative activities for children and families, drum and dance workshops, and much more, brought together 2.000, the lowest audience ever since its establishment.
The Project Afrika Festivals is an initiative of the CNDA (Cameroon Northwest Development Association e.V.). independent non-profit, non apolitical founded in 2006 with the idea of contributing to the information deficit and many prejudices about Africa in Germany.
