“Echoes of the Forgotten”
Beneath the sun’s relentless gaze,
Where rivers weep and children gaze,
A land that once in peace was crowned,
Now shakes with war’s oppressive sound.
In Congo’s heart, where dreams once bloomed,
The blood of innocence is doomed.
The M23, a cruel shadow cast,
Leaves nothing but the shattered past.
Families torn, and homes laid waste,
Their cries for peace, the earth does taste.
Yet still the weapons fill the air,
As mothers weep, and none can care.
The soil of Africa drinks too deep,
Of violence sown where tears should sleep.
Brothers in arms, yet enemies still,
Their hatred grows, their blood they spill.
But in this dark and heavy night,
A flicker stirs—a distant light.
For though the war may seem so vast,
The dream of peace can still hold fast.
Let unity be the song we sing,
Let every heart to justice cling.
Disarm the hands that tear apart,
And cleanse the soil that bears such heart.
For Africa’s strength is born in grace,
Not in the blood of one’s disgrace.
Together we rise, our voices clear,
Peace shall come, if we draw near.
No more guns, no more civil wars, no more wars, no more blood shed, No more the tears, no more the pain,
Let there be peace
Let love be known, and not the chain.
In Congo’s fields, where silence grows,
The seed of peace shall find its pose.
In unity, we stand and say,
Let war and bloodshed fall away.
For in the heart of Africa’s cries,
The truth of peace will never die.
My heart beat for Democratic Republic of Congo
For how long shall innocent souls perish?
Natural resources meant to improve lives of Democratic Republic of Congo people has led to skyrocketing indefinite blood shed
Where is AU?
Where is Ecowas?
Where is SADC
Their silence is loud
